Le Mans – Publisher of the magazine Maine Découvertes and of illustrated books on the heritage from Sarthe and Mayenne.
During the two months of my internship within this structure, I had the opportunity to assist the publisher Martine Leray on many editorial tasks such as : writing and correcting press articles, following up articles to be published, proofreading first drafts, leading documentary and iconographic searches, web writing, working on communication and events.
Rennes – book fair organized on a weekend in the district of Maurepas.
As part of the first year of their Master's degree, all the students had the responsibility to imagine, organize and run their own stand during the Rennes book fair. As far as I am concerned, I accomplished the following tasks : holding the stand, managing the budget, buying supplies, organizing activities, welcoming the visitors.
Angers – General and independent bookshop in the town centre.
During my five-week internship, I had the chance to discover several departments (youth, practical books, comics, classical literature…) and to get to know what a bookseller's job consists in. Supported by my colleagues, I was able to carry out the following missions : welcoming and advising customers, stocking shelves, re-organizing and tidying some departments, managing and handing orders, managing stocks.
Le Mans – Publisher of books in large font and of illustrated books on Sarthe's rich heritage.
During this first two-month internship, I could discover how a publishing house works and I could get fully involved in all the tasks I was entrusted with like : editorial follow-up, promotion of books, communication, management of customer files, preparation and sending of orders.
Angers – Chevrollier High School.
From September to November, I had the great opportunity to take part, with all my class, to the High School Students' Goncourt Prize, as members of the panel. For three months, we had to keep up with the frantic rhythm of the new publishing season and we could discover many aspects of the literary life such as : critical readings, meetings and exchanges with authors, conferences, round-table discussions between readers.

Thanks to my internship in La Reinette Editions in the summer 2019 I was enabled to enter the press world and I realized during this final professional experience that journalism could interest me. I spent two months in this publishing house and I had the opportunity to write for the web (in particular, for the websites of some companies) and this also was something I really enjoyed doing. However, editing practical books has always attracted me, since these are the type of books I read most. For some years now, I have been particularly interested in cooking and so, in cooking books. Therefore, when I started looking for an internship at the end of summer 2019, I had in mind the fact I wanted to know more about the practical sector. At the beginning of October an advertisement was published on Asfored website about an internship offer in Larousse Editions and that offer was completely corresponding to what I wanted to do. Soon after, telephone conversations were quickly followed by a meeting in the publishing house and, in early November, I learned with great pleasure that my application had been chosen for a six-month internship in practical edition, cooking department. I am now looking forward to discover practical literature within one of the most iconic French publishing houses.
